Bio
Dr. Font grew up in South Florida were she was always surrounded by wildlife, nature and plenty of animals. She always knew she wanted to work with animals. She attended Florida International University for her undergraduate degree where she double majored in biology and psychology. During that time she worked as a zookeeper, wildlife relocater/rehabber and veterinary technician. She also trained with several wildlife handlers to obtain captive wildlife permits. After graduating she moved to Gainesville area where she obtained her veterinary degree at the University of Florida and graduated in 2018. During that time she also worked as a reptile breeder and exotic animal importer where she spent countless hours working with all types of exotic animals.
Following graduation she stayed in the area and worked as a mixed animal practitioner. After a couple years she began working in emergency settings where several new interest were peaked. From that point on, she took positions with additional training in emergency medicine, critical care and internal medicine. After obtaining additional training she began working as a relief veterinarian for both specialty and general practice settings which is how she found Paddock Park.
During her free time Dr. Font enjoys traveling the world and adventuring outdoors. She also spends a lot of time running her small farm full of rescue animals in Hawthorne with a horse, pigs, donkeys, emu, several dogs and cats. She spends time working with venomous snakes and other reptiles as a hobby and medically for friends in the industry.
