Bio
Dr. Clare O’Connor grew up on a small farm in the English countryside, riding in hunting and eventing disciplines. She got her bachelor’s degree at the University of West of England in Equine Science, where she also became a level 2 British Horse Society accredited coach specialising in young and nervous riders. Her interest in equine dentistry and sports medicine began as a riding coach and trainer, which then led to becoming a certified Equine Dental Technician through the International Association of Equine Dentistry and Academy of Equine Dentistry. She completed a master’s degree in Equine Science from the University of Edinburgh and a Post-Baccalaureate certificate in Pre-Veterinary Science from the University of Vermont before attending Colorado State University for her veterinary studies.
Clare is passionate about sustainability, the environment and helping those in underserved communities. Her clinical interests include equine dentistry, welfare, pain management, rehabilitation, and preventative care. In her free time, she enjoys baking, yoga, horse riding and exploring new places.
