Bio
Dr. Crossman’s love of horses began in her early teens when her family purchased a very green broke 3 year old grade gelding. In taking this horse on as her project, the practical horsemanship she learned in bringing this horse along inspired a passion for these amazing animals and a love of the human horse bond.
Dr. Crossman had the benefit of living most of her life close to Ocala, Florida and enjoyed the privilege of working her way from stable hand to groom to exercise rider throughout her teens. Throughout undergrad at the University of Florida she rode for the collegiate team, ultimately showing at the national level.
Dr. Crossman worked as a veterinary technician at both an equine ambulatory practice and referral center prior to and during vet school where she further discovered the satisfaction of providing quality care for equine athletes and providing peace of mind for their riders and caretakers.
After graduating from the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary, Medicine Dr. Crossman completed an internship with CSU’s Equine Field Service, receiving additional training in podiatry, sports medicine, reproduction, ophthalmology, and dentistry. Dr. Crossman is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
When not working she enjoys lifting at the gym as well as all things outdoors!
