Bio
Dr. Jenna Mendlowitz, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, grew up surrounded by veterinary medicine, inspired by her parents’ work in small animal care.
She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in January 2024. Following graduation, she completed an internship at Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center, where she gained valuable experience treating horses, sheep, and goats. Driven by a passion for providing comprehensive care to animals of all kinds, she recently joined the team at Family Friends Veterinary Hospital to focus on small animal medicine — what she fondly calls “the littles.”
Dr. Mendlowitz has a strong interest in mixed animal medicine, preventive care, spectrum of care, and surgery. She is dedicated to advocating for the well-being of every animal she treats, working closely with families to develop treatment plans that best suit their pets’ needs.
Outside of work, she stays active through mountain biking and CrossFit and enjoys spending time with her three Pit-bulls and two cats, Alex and Beau.
