Bio
Dr. Pennington is a new face to Midway, but she certainly is no stranger to the animal-loving community of south central Kentucky. A native of London, Kentucky, she brings decades of experience in small, mixed, exotic, and large animal veterinary care. After many years of owning her own practice, Dr. Pennington decided to settle into a more consistent routine working for Midway.
While she enjoys working large animals, her interest in small animals veterinary medicine include dermatology, ophthalmology, and, of course the always unexpected challenges of general pet care.
While not at work, Dr. Pennington continues her love of animals. Her hobbies include raising Tennessee Walking Horses and Katahdin sheep (look it up! They're cool!) She also has a super cool rescue dog named "Dudley" who she swears could be a stand-in for the Hollywood super dog who played "Krypto" in the latest superman movie.
Dr. Pennington would like to share that she has two children and two grandchildren who she is very proud of. Another cool fact is she has served two stints as a Veterinary Medical Officer with the USDA. She worked the front lines in protecting us from the Avian Infuenza outbreak in thr early 2010's.
