Bio
Dr. Megan Sousa received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Hartford and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2021. After obtaining her veterinary degree, she completed a one-year rotating internship at Westvet Animal Hospital in Boise, Idaho, followed by a three-year residency in emergency and critical care at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in East Greenwich, RI. Upon completing her residency, Dr. Sousa became board-certified in critical care in 2025.
Dr. Sousa’s special interests include emergent endocrinopathies, cardiac arrhythmias, and feline medicine. Dr. Sousa is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing video games, and cuddling with her cats.
